Parent Toddler Workshop
Fridays, 10 - 11:15 a.m. - April 7 - May 5

Toddlers 18-35 months with an adult. Registration required
Have fun with your toddler while you play with toys, read and create a craft. Ask community resource professionals questions about early literacy, speech & hearing, physical fitness, nutrition and behavior. The Parent Toddler Workshop is a 5-week program for toddlers 18 - 35 months and their parents or caregivers. Registration is limited to one time per child. Additional toddlers in the same family may attend future programs.

This program is currently full. The next Parent Toddler Workshop will be offered in the fall of 2017.

 Art Stop on the Go (Ages 6-12)                                                                                                         Date: Tuesday, May 23

The Children's Library and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art have teamed up to bring you several art-making workshops in 2017! Express yourself through a variety of art media, with the emphasis on creativity and fun. All programs are free, but registration is required.

Junior Book Club (Grades 4-5)                                                                                                                    Time: 4 - 5 p.m.                                                                                                                           Date: Wednesday, May 10

Do you love to read? Would you like to meet with other kids your age to talk about books? The Junior Book Club is a pre-registered program for kids in grades 4 to 5. Join us every month for a book discussion, snacks and fun! Register and check out a copy of the book in advance at the Children's Room desk. This program is limited to 12 participants per month. First Friday Make and Take (Two years old and up)                                                                                  Time: 2:30 - 4:15 p.m.                                                                                                                                     Date: May 5

A special craft time for children ages 2 and up and their caregivers. No registration is required and all supplies are provided. Come to the Children's Story Room and start crafting any time between 2:30 and 4:15 on each designated Friday and make two fun crafts to take home!

This event is usually on the first Friday of each month, unless otherwise noted on the monthly calendar of events. Supplies are limited. And if you can't make the actual program, you can find the crafts on our Pinterest page.

Third Saturday Fun (K- grade 2)                                                                                                                   Time: 1 - 2 p.m.                                                                                                                               Date: Saturday, May 20     
Theme: Camping Kinds of Fun!
Attention kindergarteners through second graders: this program is especially for you! It is presented the third Saturday of each month. Each program involves books, activities, and a special craft built around a theme. This is a program for children currently attending the designated grades. Kindergarten guidelines are that children be at least 5 years old by September 30, 2016 and in an elementary level Kindergarten program (not Pre-K).

 Afternoon Reading Fun (K-grade 5)                                                                                            Time: Thursdays, 4 - 5 p.m. (registration begins at 3:45)                                                                              Dates: May 11                                                                        
No registration required. Sign-in at the Children’s Information Desk on program days.

Sassy and Brody can't wait to hear you read! Students in kindergarten to fifth grade build confidence and fluency in their reading by reading aloud to trained therapy dogs. Bring your own book or choose a library book and our dog friends will listen without correcting or judging. This creates a relaxing reading environment where readers can build their confidence and fluency.
