All children up to age 12 are invited to participate in out Cat's Hat March Reading Program. Kids need to read 3 books at their level that they have never read before, write the titles of the books on a Cat's Hat tally sheet and put it in the cat's hat on the desk in the Children's Library. Non-readers may be read to. Starting Saturday, March 1, tally sheets can be picked up in the Children's Library or downloads from the Children's Library website at www.broomfieldchildrenslibrary.org, then click on Special Events. You may enter as many times as you like! All entries are due by closing on Monday, march 31. A drawing will be held after the contest ends to pick 5 winners. Winners will receive a colorful Cat's hat!

Become a historic preservationist through this popular program. Build your own cities both past and present and learn about saving historic structures, evolution of a city and the importance of historic preservation. Students create buildings made out of Lincoln logs and Legos while learning about how Denver grew from a small town to a modern city.
