  1. Broomfield Garden Fair - "Gardening in a Dry Climate"

    Gardeners! Enjoy exhibits and educational options, and hear from special guest speakers at this FREE event! Amy Yarger from the Butterfly Pavillion will be speaking on native pollinators and their habitats. Micaela Truslove from the Broomfield CSU Extension Office will talk about the Emerald Ash Borer.

Library Calendar

  1. Children's - Cats Hat March Reading Program

    March 1 - March 31 @ Children's Library

    All children up to age 12 are invited to participate in out Cat's Hat March Reading Program. Kids need to read 3 books at their level that they have never read before, write the titles of the books on a Cat's Hat tally sheet and put it in the cat's hat on the desk in the Children's Library. Non-readers may be read to. Starting Saturday, March 1, tally sheets can be picked up in the Children's Library or downloads from the Children's Library website at www.broomfieldchildrenslibrary.org, then click on Special Events. You may enter as many times as you like! All entries are due by closing on Monday, march 31. A drawing will be held after the contest ends to pick 5 winners. Winners will receive a colorful Cat's hat!

  2. Children - Family Early Literacy Time

    March 1, 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM @ Children's Library Story Room

    Families of all ages are welcome, but the focus will be newborns - Pre-K. Stories, books, fingerplays and songs will focus on an early literacy skill, followed by a fun craft. Families will have the opportunity to practice activities they can use at home to learn early literacy skills needed for children to become successful learners in school. Please pick up a FREE ticket at the Children's Desk the morning of the program.

  2. Broomfield Depot Museum Presents All Aboard! Broomfield's Electric Railway, by Jacqui Ainlay-Conley

    March 1, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM @ Zang Spur Park

    March 1: Presentation, “All Aboard! Broomfield's Electric Railway," by Jacqui Ainlay-Conley, Museum Administrator. Jacqui will talk about the Kite Route, a commuter rail which ran from Boulder to Denver via Broomfield from 1908 to 1926. All events begin at noon and are free of charge. No tickets or preregistration is required, however, seating is limited. The museum is open for tours every Saturday from noon to 3:00 p.m.
