Colorado Revised Statute 42-1-102(113) gives the following definition:

Wheel Chair"Wheelchair" means a motorized or non-motorized wheeled device designed for use by a person with a physical disability.

Summary of laws regarding the use of Wheelchairs in Broomfield:
• Wheelchairs SHALL travel on sidewalks when provided.
• Wheelchairs SHALL travel on a road shoulder as far as practicable from the edge of the roadway when sidewalks are not provided.
• Wheelchairs SHALL travel as near as practicable to an outside edge of the roadway when neither a sidewalk or road shoulder is available.
• In the case of a two way roadway, Wheelchairs SHALL travel on the left side of the roadway facing approaching traffic.
