Educational Opportunity Center
This is a free service provided by Mike Nowicki at the Broomfield Workforce Center every Tuesday. The only requirement for this service is that your education level is less than a bachelor's degree. To make an appointment, call 303.464.5894 or inquire in person at the Workforce Center front desk.

The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC will help you explore the options available to you in education, career or technical training, career counseling and even help you apply for funding for education and training programs.

Assistance Offered
The Educational Opportunity Center can help you by:
  • Providing admission assistance and academic advising for:
    • Career and technical training
    • Colleges / universities
    • GED
  • Helping you apply for money for College/Training:
    • FAFSA
    • Grants
    • Loans
    • Scholarships
    • Work-study
  • Helping you identify or redefine your educational career goals with career counseling, using the following instruments:
    • Myers Briggs Type Indicator
    • Self-Directed Search
    • Strong Interest Explorer
    • Strong Interest Inventory
  • Providing assistance with resumes and online career searches
