Databases for Kids
Kids, do you need another resource?  Do you have trouble finding a book about your topic?  Teachers and homeschool families, do you need extra support and ideas?  Check out one of our many Resources/Databases designed specifically for children.

Many of our databases now support Common Core Curriculum Standards.  Most of the databases now offer audio for all articles and information.  Look for an audio or listen icon to listen to the information that may be at a higher reading level.

 Groliers Multimedia.png Grolier's Multimedia Packed with the sights and sounds that make learning fun! This encyclopedia is appropriate for younger students.
 Nat Geographic Kids.png National Geographic Kids Fun and substantive, National Geographic Kids will take them on amazing adventures in science, nature, culture, archaeology, and space. Includes full copies of National Geographic for Kids magazines and National Geographic kids books and videos.   All FREE on your library’s database. This information is not available on the National Geographic for Kids website!  

 Pebble Go.png PebbleGo This is a database for our youngest researchers. Choose from Animals, Social Studies, Science or Biographies!  There is also non-fiction reading support such as word-by-word highlighting and read aloud audio. Designed for pre-K to grade 3.

Explora Elementary Designed for upper elementary children. Students can browse topics of interest or search for a topic of their choice. Search results can be limited to source type such as magazines, news, biographies, etc. or by Lexile range.
