Discovery Lab - August 2014
Discovery Lab Logo Final.JPG

The August 2014 Discovery Lab sessions will feature two Makers-in-Residence!  Stop in on Wednesdays anytime between 10 am-2 pm to meet our woodworking maker, Bob Juszynski, and on Fridays and Saturdays anytime between 2-4 pm to meet our drawing and cartooning maker, Gareth Kensak.  These sessions are open to all ages!  No registration required!

Traditional drop-in sessions that are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays are cancelled in August. These session will resume on Tuesday, September 9, 2014.

The Mamie Doud Eisenhower Public Library Discovery Lab is a place where students may drop-in anytime within the scheduled hour to participate in activities that focus on science or art related subjects. Each session will offer materials for hands-on learning and directional support from an adult or teen volunteer.  The Discovery Lab is located on the first floor to the left of the Circulation Desk.

Check the current month's schedule below for times, dates, registration requirements, and activity summaries.  Want to explore other Discovery Lab activities on your own?  It's always open to all ages when there's not a scheduled session.

Some of the proposed topics include: Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Human Anatomy, Astronomy, Geology, Soldering, Computer Programming, and more!  Check here often, as our topics are always rotating.
