There are many changes are happening in the field of early childhood!  This conference will provide information on the new Early Childhood Competencies that will increase your skills and knowledge so you can provide quality care!
Competent to Build Futures Summit will help increase quality in early learning and care, parent engagement, and health and safety of children in care. 
  • Standard Registration, $40 from 9/14 to 10/14 
  • 6.5 CEUs, breakfast, lunch, and a day of networking and learning.

Confident Parenting
Reducing challenging behaviors and building stronger parent/child relationships.

For families with toddlers & preschoolers.  Participants must be Broomfield County Residents.  Both partners in a two partner household are strongly encouraged to attend this training together.  Being on the same page and working as a team makes the whole family stronger!

Held at Bal Swan Children's Center, 1145 East 13th Ave. in Broomfield

6-Week Class, Wednesdays Sept. 16th – Oct. 28th (no class Oct. 7th), 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Register by calling: 720-937-8569 (this is not a library program).  
Cost is $25 & due the first day of class.  Sliding scale available, no one will be turned away if not able to pay full amount!  Dinner & child care provided!

Broomfield Parent's Support Group
For parents with children ages birth to three.

This group meets every Tuesday of the month (except the last Tuesday) from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. at the Bruner Farmhouse.  See the flyer for more information.

Families First is a local nonprofit that serves the state of Colorado, as a leader in ending the cycle of child abuse by providing, among other services, a variety of parenting classes.  Their proactive parent education is done via parenting classes and Circle of Parents (R) Support Groups and are offered in English and Spanish.  They offer a variety of parenting classes for parents of children of all ages.  Their support groups are offered to parents, primary caregivers, kinship providers, single moms, and single dads.  Classes and groups are offered in a variety of locations in the Metro area and include a free children's group.  Call or check out their website for a full list of the classes and groups offered.

The Mariposa Center for Infant, Child & Family Enrichment presents three learning opportunities for families & others in February & March.  No Drama Discipline, Yoga for Children & Healthy Brain, and Well Child are each programs for parenting support and education.  For more information, please contact The Mariposa Center at 720-288-5090 or visit their website.  The Mariposa Center is a partner with our Children's Library by providing Resource Professionals in the Family Place Library Parent Toddler Workshops.
