Dog Daze at the Bay

It’s a day gone to the dogs! Bring your dog down to the Bay for a day of excitement just for dogs. Your little fido can jump and play in the summer heat, while coolin’ off with a dip in the pool. Please note: owners are not allowed in the pool. Pre-registration is preferred to guarantee space.

Join us for a beautiful summer afternoon at the Broadlands Golf Course. Proceeds of the tournament benefit enhancing quality of life for Seniors. To celebrate our 13th Annual Rockin’ Seniors Cool Classic Car Show, Bumpers is hosting a CRUISE-IN with 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s music, great food, and beverages (for purchase). Bring your appetite and of course your favorite ride. Everyone that attends Friday night at Bumpers with their cool classic car will get three additional tickets (on Saturday) for the car show drawings. A portion of all food and drink sales will be donated to Senior Resources of Broomfield, Inc. Sponsored by and held at Bumpers Bar and Grill, located at 135 Nickel St, in Broomfield (120th Avenue and Nickel Street.)

Fishing at the Bay

Join us for our annual Fishing at the Bay event at the Broomfield Bay Aquatic Park. You need to bring your own fishing pole, hooks, and bait; we provide the trout. You may take the fish with you or catch and release. We take 30 children for each time slot. A waitlist is taken and. There is no charge for the adults. There is a two trout limit. Pre-registration is preferred to guarantee space.

The day includes a vendor fair of local providers for information and resources, a support group fair and workshops focusing on nutrition, physical fitness and lifelong learning. Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

Be part of this annual community event when all of Broomfield welcomes the arrival of Santa Claus at the George DiCiero City and County Building. The air is filled with children caroling from the local schools, the Community Park trees are spectacular, the Mayor lights the community holiday tree, families can ride the holiday wagon ride, and children are able to talk to Santa. Bundle up and share in the Holiday Cheer! 

Talk to Santa
Saturday, December 5, 2015
If you are a resident of the City and County of Broomfield and you have a child between the ages of 2–8 years who would like to have a personal phone call from Santa Claus, please fill out the Talk to Santa form located at either Broomfield Recreation Center or online. Please have your child home during the hours noted on the form. In order to receive a personal phone call on Saturday, December 5, the form must be returned to the Community Center by Friday, December 4.

Student Art Show 
March 11–12, 2016
Each year, Broomfield Recreation Services and the Broomfield Council on the Arts and Humanities sponsor the Student Art Show. Open to students K–12 attending Broomfield area schools, the show is designed to give students an opportunity to display their work and allow the community a chance to view the quality artwork created by young artists in Broomfield. Students interested in participating in this show should speak with their school’s art teacher. There will be a reception on Friday, March 11 from 6:30–8:30 pm and the art show will be open on Saturday, March 12 from 9 am–3 pm.
