The Swim
For the Mini HaHa event, swimmers will be heated according to your predicted swim time.  Your heat will include swimmers with similar swim times so it is important for you to try to estimate your time as accurately as possible.  We will alternate between faster and slower predicted swim times throughout the event.  Each swimmer will complete 300 yards (or 6 laps or 12 lengths of the pool, depending upon how you look at it.)  There will be 4 to 5 swimmers per lane and you will circle swim.
Not sure of your swim time?  Practice makes perfect – we suggest that you come and practice your swim.  Swim your 300 yards several times and then average them together to give you a guesstimate of how fast you will be able to swim on race day.  You don’t have time to swim before you need to turn in your registration form?  Make a guesstimate and then you may e-mail Dawn until the swim time change deadline (May 19, 2014).
