Kids Movement
?This class is designed for kids on the Autism Spectrum. This is a movement and exercise class that incorporates creative ways to exercise using the BOSU ball, along with other fun stretches and creative movement. Parents are welcome to attend the class their child to assist in the movements.

This class is for individuals with developmental disabilities. Come and practice yoga poses that benefit your mind and your body as you build strength, flexibility and balance followed by deep relaxation.

Spin® and Fit

This class is for individuals with developmental disabilities. It is a combination class format that trains your heart and strengthens your lower body with a Spinning ride for the first half hour. The second half we will work on your core muscles with the fit ball and cool down stretching. This class is for ages 15 years and over.

Weight Training
This class is designed for individuals with developmental disabilities. Need help with the machines, want a trainer to help you with your workout program? Then join us and your friends in a weekly workout on the weights. Taught by a certified personal trainer. This class is for ages 14 years and over.

Adaptive Gymnastics: Special Olympics
This class is for individuals with developmental disabilities. Participants are taught basic fundamentals of floor exercise, balance beam, uneven bars and vault; also emphasizing strength building, coordination and body awareness. These sessions are for athletes who are training for the Special Olympics competition in May, date TBA. If you choose to compete in a Special Olympics sanctioned meet, your medical must be up to date prior to competition. This class is for ages 8 years and over.

Track and Field: Special Olympics
On your marks, get set, go! Train with us for Special Olympics and have a great time while working out. Improve your physical fitness and meet new friends. We will start indoors at Paul Derda Recreation Center indoor track and move outdoors after a few weeks. All ability levels welcome. If you choose to compete in the Special Olympics sanctioned meet, your medical must be up to date prior to the first competition. This class is for ages 8 and older.

Sports Spring Training
Join us in training for the spring sports season. Whether you want to participate in Special Olympics Track & Field, Swim Team, Soccer or Gymnastics or just get moving, this class is the perfect start. Each class will be motivating using the track, gym, and weight equipment with the focus on building cardio endurance.

Soccer: Special Olympics Join us on the field and learn the basic fundamentals of soccer. This is a great way to get in shape for summer. Participants are given encouragement to improve upon their technique, speed, and swim strokes. This will be in preparation of optional Special Olympic competition. If you choose to compete in the Special Olympics sanctioned meet, your medical information must be up to date prior to the first competition. Note: we are starting earlier in the year to accommodate the regional meet.

Ready to Race - Train for a 5K
Want to get out and enjoy the outdoors with your friends and work on your cardio endurance at the same time? Are you wanting to sign up for the local 5K race, but need some help getting ready? We will start at your pace walking/jogging through the Commons trails adjacent to the Paul Derda Recreation Center. Great pairing for the Special Olympics Spring Track & Field season. This class is desgned for individuals with disabilities.

Softball League: Special Olympics
We will be participating in the Boulder unified softball league on Tuesday nights starting in May. Transportation is on your own. We will head to the Broomfield batting cages the week before our first scheduled game. Game times vary due to league schedule play. If you choose to compete in a Special Olympics sanctioned tournament your medical must be up to date prior to the first competition.
