Join us for our monthly trips with youth from around the Metro area. These trips are offered in cooperation with the City of Broomfield, Hyland Hills Recreation District, City of Englewood, Commerce City, City of Brighton, and Estes Valley Recreation and Parks. These unique monthly trips offer your youth with the opportunity to meet youth from around the Metro area and participate in unique trips offered by the Colorado Youth Adventures.

Hyland Hills Bus Waiver

June – Clear Creek River Rafting
Head out with Clear Creek Rafting Company and enjoy a 1/3 day trip as you ride the waves in the Wild Wild West. Float past a historic waterwheel, drop over Castle Falls, paddle through Mountain Lion, then hold on tight for Mr. Twister. It’s the perfect introduction to whitewater! Participants need to wear swimsuit attire and appropriate footwear. Please bring a sack lunch or money to stop at Subway on the river. Pre-registration by June 9 required! Waiver needed!

July – Horseback Riding and Fishing
Spend a day getting away. Come join us for fishing and horseback riding! Start the day out with a fun trail ride near the foothills then unwind catching dinner. All fishing equipment provided. Be sure to wear long pants and closed toed shoes for horseback riding. Bring a sack lunch

August – Cave of the Winds and Manitou Springs Penny Arcade
Cave Exploration! Zipline! Old-Fashioned Penny Arcade! You get all this and more in Manitou Springs. Spend the day in this exciting little town at the base of Pikes Peak. Pack your own sack lunch. You will also need a minimum of $15 cash for the Penny Arcade. Total money given is at parent’s discretion.

At Home Alone with first Aid
This popular entertaining workshop is designed to prepare children to be at home alone. Important skills are learned through interactive lessons and role play that help make both you and your child more confident when they are at home alone. Students need to bring a sack lunch, snack, and a drink.
Age: 11 - 14 years Location: BCC


Advanced Care Baby-Sitting Course
This course is designed to give the knowledge necessary for first time baby-sitters 11 - 14 years of age to be responsible for young children and includes a baby-sitting certificate and CPR/First Aid certification thru American Heart Association. The skills covered are CPR/First Aid, growth and development, prevention and personal safety, discipline, fire safety and basic child care feeding, diapering and bathing. Students need to bring a sack lunch, snack, and a drink.
