Teen Volunteer Opportunities

Teen Advisory Board (TAB)

Requirements: grades 6-12; a resident of Colorado; available to attend meetings on every 1st & 3rd Monday of each month (unless otherwise noted). TAB is not accepting new volunteers at this time. Apply to be added to a waitlist.

Middle school and high school students are invited to join the Teen Advisory Board for one month at a time. TAB works with library staff to plan and run monthly teen programs and the summer reading program. TAB also makes recommendations for books, music, and movies for the library to purchase. TAB also assists in producing the Teen Zone Newsletter, The 411.

Meetings are on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month at 4 p.m. in the Eisenhower Room (2nd floor). TAB also counts as volunteer hours for community service. To join, stop by the Teen Zone desk and pick up an application form.

Teen Department Volunteers

Requirements: To apply please fill out and submit the Teen Volunteer Google Form or stop by the Teen Desk to pick up a paper copy of the application.

Adult Opportunities

Boost Your Brain Tutoring

Requirements: adults ages 18+; a resident of Colorado; background in math or science; available on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:45 p.m.

Volunteers wishing to be tutors for Boost Your Brain: Science and Math Tutoring should look at the qualifications, descriptions and requirements list.

To apply please fill out a City and County Volunteer Disclosure Form. Bring this form in along with your resume and photo id. Background checks and interviews will be conducted before assignment.

Science Task Force

Requirements: adults ages 18+; a resident of Colorado; background in science, technology, engineering and/or math

Adults wishing to serve on the Science Task Force should look at the qualifications, descriptions and requirements.
