Tobacco use is the number one preventable cause of death and disease in the U.S., including Colorado. It causes cancer, heart disease and emphysema, harms reproductive health, and damages nearly every organ in the human body.
The Broomfield Tobacco Education and Prevention Partnership uses a comprehensive approach to prevent tobacco use by youth, promote quitting among adults and youth, and eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke.
With grant funding from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, we are focusing efforts on partnering with health care providers and clinics in Broomfield by offering training and assistance on evidence-based interventions to treat tobacco use and dependence.
