Christmas tree icon Christmas Tree Recycling - 2018/2019 Season

During the holiday season, the City and County of Broomfield’s Forestry Department sets up seven collection sites throughout the city where Christmas trees can be dropped off and recycled. These trees will be chipped into mulch. The mulch will be available for use and can be picked up at the Tree Branch Recycling Facility at 2990 W. 124th Avenue.
The collection sites are marked with signs and orange fencing. Before leaving the tree at the collection site, please be sure to remove all lights, ornaments, tree stands, nails, and any objects that could damage the wood chipping equipment. The collection sites are intended for Christmas trees only. Please—no wreaths, garland, yard waste, tree branches, or other wood products.

The collection sites will open on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, and remain open through Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019. Residents may drop off their trees at these sites at any time.
After Sunday, Jan. 13, trees can be taken at the Tree Branch Recycling Facility.
