Who is Partnership for Colorado?
The three federations making up the Partnership for Colorado represent different groups of nonprofit organizations tied together through common missions or values.
Caring Connection is comprised of 46 nonprofit organizations that serve the needs of Colorado citizens. Through participating in employee giving campaigns, Caring Connection raises money for essential human services designed to defend and serve vulnerable populations; while proving opportunities for donors to connect to the causes they care about.
Community Health Charities
Community Health Charities (CHC) of Colorado is an alliance of over 50 of Colorado's most trusted chronic illness, disability, and health charities.
Community Shares of Colorado
Community Shares' over 100 member nonprofit organizations align into eight program areas: Accessing Education Opportunities, Assisting People in Need, Building Stronger Communities, Conserving Colorado's Environment, Fostering Local Arts and Media, Improving Health Options, Promoting Animal Welfare, and Working for a Just Society.
How does giving through a Partnership for Colorado giving campaign work?
Donors can choose from the Partnership for Colorado vetted list of nonprofits or write-in any 501(c)(3). Donors can also decide how to give. Most employees give through payroll contribution (a few dollars each pay period). But you can also make a recurring donation or a one-time donation depending upon the donation options selected by your workplace. There is no minimum donation. Signing up is easy, either online or with a paper form. However a donor participates, he/she/they are a part of a culture of giving that helps our Colorado be even better.
Why use payroll deduction to donate?
Payroll deductions are spread out over the year, making it easier for donors to give larger amounts. They provide a dependable source of income throughout the year for charities.
When are donations distributed to the charities?
Partnership for Colorado distributes funds to our charity partners based on your workplace’s selected payout schedule. Typically, donations are paid out quarterly in July, October, January, and May after your pledge year begins.
When will the money begin being deducted from payroll?
Your organization determines the exact dates. Deductions will continue for one year.
