Broomfield Trail Adventure

blue heading icons_hikeCelebrate National Trails Day on June 2, 2018 by hiking or biking in Broomfield! This annual event features a new trail section each year and is great for all ages and ability levels. This years' event will feature Legacy Park, Quail Creek, and McKay Lake via a biking loop (6 miles), a hiking loop (3 miles), and a shorter family hiking loop (1 mile). Parking will be available at the staff parking lot of Legacy High School, on the east side of the building with access from Zuni St. This event is outdoors, so be sure to bring sunscreen, water and appropriate footwear! This event is FREE to attend with no registration required. 

Date: Saturday, June 2

Time: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

2017 Broomfield Trail Adventure

The 16th annual Broomfield Trail Adventure was held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Holy Family High School. Over 400 people gathered to celebrate hiking, biking and being outdoors! The walking loop (3 miles) showcased a brand new section of the Broomfield Trail. The biking loop (6 miles) took participants up to the beautiful Siena Reservoir. Check out the maps of the routes.

2016 Broomfield Trail Adventure  

The 15th annual Broomfield Trail Adventure was held on Saturday, June 4, 2016. It was a picture-perfect summer morning for the event, hosted at East Park, in the Interlocken area (280 Interlocken Blvd.). Approximately 400 people participated.

As always, the event took place on National Trails Day and was one of many events celebrated across the country to celebrate trails and the outdoors. The event included a scenic walking loop (2.5 miles) and a biking route on the newly opened US 36 Bikeway Trail, as well as a short loop around the East Park area for children and families. Broomfield Trail Adventure 2015



National Trails Day was celebrated at the Broomfield Trail Adventure on the cool but sunny morning of June 6. The event was hosted at Legacy Park, just to the west of Legacy High School's parking lot. Trail routes followed the Lake Link Trail past Plaster Reservoir and along the Quail Creek area.
