Weekly Story Times  September - May

My First Story Time - Thursdays, 9:15 or 10 a.m. 
20 minutes of stories for newborns - 24 months followed by a short playtime for your baby or young toddler. 

Twos and Threes Together - Mondays, 10 or 10:45 a.m. & Wednesdays, 9:15 & 10 a.m.
2 & 3 year-olds. This 25-30 minute program includes age-appropriate stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays that help toddlers develop skills in oral language, listening and motor development while fostering a love of reading and books. 

Side-By-Side Preschool Story Time - Tuesdays, 10 a.m. (child with an adult)
3-6 year-olds. Preschoolers will develop early literacy skills, self-confidence, and curiosity through fun stories and activities. 

On My Own Preschool Story Time - Tuesdays, 10:45 a.m. (kids on their own)
3-6 year-olds. Preschoolers will develop early literacy skills, self-confidence, and curiosity through fun stories and activities. We ask children to attend without their caregivers to help develop a sense of independence that will be needed as they start school. 

Family Story Time - Thursdays, 10:45 a.m.
Join us for a wonderful shared experience for the whole family. Age appropriate activities are presented in three segments from younger to older in order to meet the developmental needs of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Transitions are built in so younger children can take a break if necessary. 

Story Time at Paul Derda Rec Center - 3rd Friday of the month, 11:40 a.m.
Stick around for Story Time for families with children of all ages. Drop in (registration not necessary).

WOW! STEM with the Children’s Museum - 1st Saturday of the month, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. (October - May)
5 - 8 years (Grades K-2). Bring your family to a hands-on science program where you can explore and learn with WOW! Children's Museum. (Small pieces - not suitable for under age 3). No registration required.

Library Lego Club - 4th Wednesday of the month, 6-7 p.m. Age 5-8 years.
 Come to the library to make new friends while completing Lego STEM building challenges. All supplies will be provided by the library. Registration required. Additional Library Lego Clubs have been added:

ARF! - Thursdays, 4-5 p.m; sign-in at 3:45 p.m. Kindergarten - 5th grade. 
Our dog friends can't wait to hear you read! Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade can build confidence and fluency in their abilities by reading aloud to trained therapy dogs. Bring your own book or choose a library book and our dog friends will listen without correcting or judging. Sign up at the Children's Desk starting at 3:45 p.m. on the day of the program.

Junior Book Club - 2nd Wednesday of the month, 4-5 p.m. 4th & 5th grade.
Join us every month for a book discussion, snacks and fun! Register in person at the Children's Desk starting one month in advance of the book club date. When you register you will be assigned a copy of the book to read and use for the program.

Art Stop on the Go - 4th Tuesday of the month, 4-5 p.m. 
Ages 6-12 years. The Children's Library and Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art have teamed up to bring you creative and fun art-making workshops. Register

Cuddletime Concert - 2nd Saturday of the month, 10 - 10:30 a.m.
Newborns - 24 months with adult. Interactive music for babies and toddlers, age newborn through 24 months, and their parent or caregiver.

Parent Toddler Workshop Fridays, April 5 - May 3, 10 - 11:15 a.m.  Story Room at Broomfield Children's Library, Newborn-18 months with an adult. 
Have fun with your toddler while you play with toys, read and create a craft. Ask community resource professionals questions about early literacy, speech, hearing, physical fitness, nutrition and behavior. The Parent Toddler Workshop is a 5-week program for toddlers and their parents or caregivers. Registration required - limited to one series per child.

Parent Baby Workshop - Friday Mornings - March 8, 15 & 22, 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. Newborn-18 months with an adult. Spend time reading and playing with your child while meeting other families with babies between newborn to 18 months. Ask community resource professionals about early literacy, nutrition, health and baby sign language. This is a 3-week program for babies and their parents or caregivers.

Around the World Bilingual Fun - 3rd Saturday of the month, 10 - 11 a.m. For all ages.
Everyone is welcome! Come learn about the language and culture of your neighbors, whether you speak the language or not! Stories and music presented by volunteers from the community.
