Weekly Story Times September - May
My First Story Time - Thursdays, 9:15 or 10 a.m.
20 minutes of stories for newborns - 24 months followed by a short playtime for your baby or young toddler.
Twos and Threes Together - Mondays, 10 or 10:45 a.m. & Wednesdays, 9:15 & 10 a.m.
2 & 3 year-olds. This 25-30 minute program includes age-appropriate stories, songs, rhymes and fingerplays that help toddlers develop skills in oral language, listening and motor development while fostering a love of reading and books.
Side-By-Side Preschool Story Time - Tuesdays, 10 a.m. (child with an adult)
3-6 year-olds. Preschoolers will develop early literacy skills, self-confidence, and curiosity through fun stories and activities.
On My Own Preschool Story Time - Tuesdays, 10:45 a.m. (kids on their own)
3-6 year-olds. Preschoolers will develop early literacy skills, self-confidence, and curiosity through fun stories and activities. We ask children to attend without their caregivers to help develop a sense of independence that will be needed as they start school.
Family Story Time - Thursdays, 10:45 a.m.
Join us for a wonderful shared experience for the whole family. Age appropriate activities are presented in three segments from younger to older in order to meet the developmental needs of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Transitions are built in so younger children can take a break if necessary.
Story Time at Paul Derda Rec Center - 3rd Friday of the month, 11:40 a.m.
Stick around for Story Time for families with children of all ages. Drop in (registration not necessary).
Jammin’ in Your Jammies - 3rd Tuesday of the month, 6:30 - 7 p.m.
Jump into your jammies (optional) and come sing and dance and hear some great bedtime stories. Starts September 19. Drop-in/Pick up a ticket half hour prior to program start. All ages.

Story Time Play Date - 4th Saturday of the month, 11 - 11:45 a.m. (no program in Dec. or April)
We will explore a story together by reading, talking, singing, playing and writing about the themes and concepts from the book. Leave this program with new ideas for reading and playing together with your children. All ages welcome (focus newborns - 6 years)
WOW! STEM with the Children’s Museum - 1st Saturday of the month, 11 a.m. (October - May)
5 - 8 years (Grades K-2)
Library Lego Club - 4th Wednesday of the month, 6-7 p.m
Age 5-8 years. Come to the library to make new friends while completing Lego STEM building challenges. All supplies will be provided by the library. Registration required.
Discovery Playtime -Messy Art in the Library. Wednesday, October 10, 6 - 7 p.m

The Write Hour - Monday, 4-5 p.m. Oct. 1-22
Writing with the Lighthouse Writers Workshop. 9 - 12 years. Registration required. Can attend one or all.
ARF! - Thursdays, 4-5 p.m; sign-in at 3:45 p.m.
Kindergarten - 5th grade. Sign-in at the Children’s Information Desk on program days. Our dog friends can't wait to hear you read! Students in kindergarten through fifth grade build confidence and fluency in their reading by reading aloud to trained therapy dogs. Bring your own book or choose a library book and our dog friends will listen without correcting or judging. This creates a relaxing reading environment where readers can build their confidence and fluency.
Junior Book Club - 2nd Wednesday of the month, 4-5 p.m.
4th & 5th grade. Join us every month for a book discussion, snacks and fun! Register and check out a copy of the book in advance at the Children's Desk.
Art Stop on the Go - 4th Tuesday of the month, 4-5 p.m.
Ages 6-12 years. The Children's Library and Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art have teamed up to bring you creative and fun art-making workshops. Register
Cuddletime Concert - 2nd Saturday of the month, 10 - 10:30 a.m.
Newborns - 24 months with adult. Special monthly music programs for babies and toddlers.
Parent Toddler Workshop - Fridays, February 1 - March 1, 10 - 11:15 a.m. and Fridays, April 5 - May 3, 10 - 11:15 a.m. Ages 18 - 35 months with an adult. Have fun with your toddler while you play with toys, read, and create a fun craft. Ask community resource professionals questions about early literacy, speech and hearing, physical fitness, nutrition and behavior. This is a 4-week program for toddlers and their parents or caregivers.

Parent Baby Workshop - Friday Mornings - March 8, 15 & 22. Story Room at Broomfield Children's Library, Newborn-18 months with an adult. Spend time reading and playing with your child while meeting other families with babies between 0 - 18 months. Ask community resource professionals about early literacy, nutrition and baby sign language. This is a 3-week program for babies and their parents or caregivers.
